Thomas Margiotti - Longtime Philadelphia Attorney and Professor
Philadelphia attorney and professor Thomas Margiotti has a background in law extending four decades. In his present practice, he handles diverse commercial matters, from real estate transactions to contract disputes. He also helps resolve employment issues and is experienced in setting up and disposing of business concerns. Thomas Margiotti consults on alternative dispute resolution (ADR) methods and is knowledgeable about mediation and arbitration strategies.
Thomas Margiotti worked as the Montgomery Conflict Mediation Center's interim executive director and held responsibilities that ranged from recruiting instructors to creating new courses. He ensured legal compliance while reporting to the institutional board and handled marketing and administration functions. Presently on the Thomas Jefferson University faculty, Mr. Margiotti has taught ADR and business law at Comenius University in Slovakia and at the Lazarski School of Commerce & Law in Poland.
Thomas Margiotti gained early experience with the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office as an assistant DA and handled major trials and homicide cases. He is a Center for Effective Dispute Resolution mediator and a captain licensed with the US Coast Guard.
